Engineering the pursuit of performance.
Aston Martin’s Grand Prix story stretches back more than a century, with roots dating to the 1922 French Grand Prix and its first Formula One World Championship campaign in 1959. After decades away from the championship, the Aston Martin name returned to the Formula One grid in 2021. Today, the Silverstone-based Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team brings together racing heritage, advanced engineering, and a growing global operation in its pursuit of success at the highest level of motorsport.
The 2026 season represents another major step in that evolution. Aston Martin is now a full works team, partnering with Honda on its power unit while designing and developing the AMR26 at its completed AMR Technology Campus in Silverstone. The car is the first Aston Martin F1 challenger shaped by Adrian Newey’s design philosophy, with Newey also serving as Team Principal, and is driven by two-time World Champion Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll. Together, new facilities, technical partnerships, and an expanded engineering operation are defining the next chapter of Aston Martin’s Formula One program.
